To broaden their credibility and versatility, English educators can choose to be actively involved in the holding of courses for foreigners to help them improve their English. To choose teaching English overseas can be considered to be a fulfilling career, not everyone will be able to experience to feeling of teaching in an overseas school. Another alternative to pursue a fulfilling and enriching career is to teach students in Africa and other third world countries in need of an education. Many fresh graduates who are fluent in different languages could consider taking this beneficial opportunity into consideration as a starting point for their career. Nowadays, many universities and colleges are into the idea of sending their students across overseas during their educational career to complete internships or co-ops in handling courses. From a person who had the experience teaching English in overseas institutions, I really have to admit it is one in a lifetime’s opportunity which should not be missed. During my service teaching foreigners English, I had the incredible opportunity to learn more about other cultures. Interns who returned to the United States after their overseas exposure had a greater respect of the English language. They learned of how vital their instruction was for their foreign students. On top of all the personal delight one might enjoy from the experience, one have also represent the country in fulfilling the needs of other deprived children across the world. To increase the amount of students who are able to make significant contributions to their country could be done through teaching English to disadvantaged students. The sad thing is a lot of people still do not understand this fact. If more of our undergraduates know how important this is, we would have thousands of interns flourishing other countries in pursuit of cultural appreciation.
